PrideSITN Counsellor In Training Program
Become a Leader at PrideSITN Camp with the Counsellor in Training Program!
This two-week programme is for 2SLGBTQ+ adolescents aged 17-18 who want to experience summer camp's fun and excitement while also taking on more responsibility.
Through the viewpoint of camp counsellors and leaders in the LGBTQ2+ community, the PrideSITN Camp CIT programme aims to promote skills in cooperation, accountability, and leadership. Former PrideSITN Camp participants who desire to become counsellors might use this programme as a springboard.
The CIT Program is comprised of the following components:
The CIT Program lasts for two weeks. Leadership, team-based activities, and social change will be the focus of the first week. LITs will have the opportunity to participate in conventional camp activities such as swimming, canoeing, campfires, and crafts in addition to the leadership programming.
CITs will be placed with a cabin group of younger campers in the second week and will be able to use their leadership talents with the help of PrideSITN Camp counsellors as mentors. Crafts, conversations, contemplation circles, campfires, games, and group activities will all be available for CITs to lead.
PrideSITN Camp ® Payment Level System
PrideSITN Camp understands that people have different financial capacities. Our camp offers a voluntary tier-based payment system so that it is financially accessible. With this system, we are able to continue our life-changing summer camp programs while letting everyone know what camp really costs.
During PrideSITN Camp’s week-long program the cost is $1200 and for the LIT program it is $1600. We can afford to offer subsidized rates to our campers because of intensive fundraising and generous donations.
Based on the information provided above, you may select the tier that is most suitable for you.
Level 1 - The real cost of providing an amazing PrideSITN Camp experience for your child.
Level 2 – A partial subsidy for those who are able to pay most but not all of the camp's true cost.
Level 3 – Those who can afford under half of the actual cost of camp will receive a partially subsidised rate.
Level 4 - Camp is provided at a subsidised rate. While this rate does not cover all of the costs associated with running summer camp, it allows more campers to experience the magic of PrideSITN Camp.
There is no influence on the experience campers receive from this program. Families are invited to participate in assisting with the costs of camp. Staff in the camp office are the only ones who know which tier you have chosen, and use this information for billing purposes only
